    Prospects for a vibrant University of Potsdam campus: Task Force reviews progress on plans for Brauhausberg

    The State of Brandenburg, the University of Potsdam, the Hasso Plattner Foundation and the City of Potsdam are working intensively with other key stakeholders on plans for the construction of a new campus for the University of Potsdam on Brauhausberg. At the same time, the State government is preparing amendments to the Brandenburg Higher Education Law to accelerate appointment procedures for professorships and to simplify student admissions.

    New to the Leadership Team at HPI

    The Hasso Plattner Foundation has appointed Dr. Henrik Haenecke as Managing Director of Finance and Administration at HPI, effective October 1, 2025. He succeeds Dr. Marcus Kölling, who left the institute on April 30, 2025.

    Dr. Ben Illigens joins as CEO of Data4Life

    The Hasso Plattner Foundation has appointed Dr. Ben Illigens as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Data4Life. He succeeds Christian Weiss, who has shaped the development phase of Data4Life since 2017 and will continue to advise the organization in a consulting role.
