Support Through Education and Health
Since 2016, the Foundation has supported the Isisombululo Project for youth education, science, and health in South Africa. After the project ended, an organization called “Embark in Knowledge” was founded to reach even more young people in Thembalethu, George. In 2023, the initiative took over the Inkcubeko Youth and Science Centre and expanded its programs to include STEM education with activities like fairs, interactive exhibits, robotics, and coding. In this way, the Centre sparks interest in innovation among the thousands of students that it reaches every year.

A Springboard for Young People
Many young people in South Africa face the challenges of poverty, unemployment, and limited access to education and health care. That is where the Inkcubeko Youth and Science Centre run by Embark in Knowledge comes in: The center supports youth in George and along the Garden Route with science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), development programs, and health services.
Looking ahead
The goal of our efforts is to empower young people to make better decisions by offering education in STEM or related subjects and encouraging them to get involved in their communities. In this way, Embark in Knowledge aims to help young people in George and around the Garden Route to grow into responsible citizens.
